The research we perform aims to test the viability of a sustainable agricultural system based on permaculture practices with the available local natural resources. This will prove baseline data for Malta which can be used by local farmers to adopt more sustainable agricultural practices to maximise their profits while caring for the environment. Our ultimate goal is to design a system which mimics the local patterns found in nature, balancing ecological sustainability and economical prosperity.
